They have only been dating for 7 months, but Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have decided to get engaged! The engagement ring is obscenely huge by all reports, coming in at 20 carats and costing an estimated $2 million dollars. Humphries must be truly smitten to spend $2 million on a woman he has only known less than a year!

Humphries surprised Kim with the proposal, waiting for her in Kardashian’s house with a “Will you marry me?” written in rose petals and the massive engagement ring in his hands.

Kardashian says she didn’t expect the proposal at all, telling People magazine: “I didn’t expect this at all, I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”

The huge engagement ring was designed by Lorraine Schwartz and contains a number of massive diamonds. Humphries knows Kardashian well enough to realise she likes things erm… “big”. Kris said: “I just knew I wanted it to be big,” says Humphries, 26. Well he got that right, not many women wear a $2 million diamond engagement ring.

Kim Kardashian was in New York again yesterday as she attended the presentation of the “Ultimate Engagement Ring: Search for the World’s Best Couple”. The lucky couple was awarded the “Ultimate engagement ring”, a very expensive 22-carat engagement ring with a huge diamond.

No signs of engagement for Kardashian just yet. In fact she is busily churning through eligible bachelors at the moment, taste testing if you will. After Reggie Bush Kardashian has dated Austin Miles, had a brief fling with Halle Berry’s ex Gabriel Aubry and is now rumored to be seeing basketballer Kris Humphries. Kim is turning into a real world embodiment of one of the sex in the city characters!

Kim Kardashian recovered from her massive birthday parties quickly it seems! Kardashian is out and about on the promotional trail, this time helping start the “Ultimate Engagement Ring Search” for the “World’s best couple” in New York.

The launch was held at Brasserie Ruhlmann, and Kim Kardashian was joined by the competition creator and millionaire Michael Hill. Kim modeled a huge princess cut diamond ring in platinum which the winning couple receives.

Kim excitedly tweeted about her plans: “Heading to NYC launch of @michaelhill search for worlds best couple-can’t wait to see that AMAZING 22CT diamond ring!”

Kim Kardashian denied that she is engaged to Reggie, her boyfriend. Her new publicist accidentally referred him as Kim’s fiance when talking with Star.

She also proved wrong the recent rumor that she has been looking online for a wedding ring already. “Don’t worry guys, you will be the first to know if and when I get engaged!!”, she says in her recent blog.
